A small region in southern Moldova. Its hilly terrain with limestone soils is ideal for a variety of red grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and others.

Located in the south-east of the country, the region bears the name of Stephen the Great, voivode of the Principality of Moldavia.
